Cytosport athletes win the "Escape from Alcatraz
Triathlon" in 2004!
It was a great day for Cytosport athlete Simon Lessing
Sunday June 6th, 2004. He took home first place and it’s
not just the first time but now 3 times!
Cytosport was proud to have

as the "Official Sport Energy Drink" of the "Escape from
Alcatraz" Triathlon. This was the 7th year
Cytomax™
was
on the course for this multisport classic.
The race conditions were ideal to say the least, on a
post-card perfect San Francisco day, no fog or wind,
nothing but blue sky and sun. The water was glassy and
the ebb tide was pulling out hard, which always makes
for a good swim which is life or death in this swim. The
bike and run course were it's per usual hilly and hot
terrain. Hands down the best condition in years!
Simon Lessing won his third Escape from Alcatraz
championship with a dominating course record
performance. Lessing recorded the fastest swim and run
splits and was just 4 seconds slower than Craig Walton's
fastest bike split resulting in a 5-minute detonation of
the races 6-year old course record.
