Women's Tour of
Wellington and World Cup Race
Wellington
will play host to the second round of the UCI Women’s
Road Cycling World Cup for the second successive year
when the world’s best elite women cyclists line up in
the Wellington CBD on March 5 2006.
The
2005 race boasted the Olympic, World and World Cup
Series champions in the starting list and 2006 promises
to again showcase the outstanding talent in the women’s
professional ranks.
The
peloton will contest over 20 laps of a tough 6.5km
circuit. They will race from the grounds of parliament
and wind its way through the central business district
for over 3.5 hours, taking in the exhilarating decents
down the terrace and cheered on by tens of thousands of
spectators enjoying the cafes and bars of central Wellington.

'The Dash'
Taranaki is quickly becoming the home of
Triathlon in New Zealand.
The
region is surrounded by breath-taking scenery mixed with
some of the most challenging courses around.
The
“Naki Half” will continue to build on this tradition
with an event that shares the same venue as the
legendary ITU race held here last year, with a different
bike course that will provide an honest challenge for
mind and body.
The
team involved with bringing this event to you are
extremely excited about what this event has in store and
are 100% committed to bringing an event to the triathlon
public of NZ that will be remembered for a lifetime.
CytoSport will be offering support to all competitors
with drink stations, race day specials and nutritional
advice.
Please
show your support for the countries newest Triathlon
event. Not quite up to a Half Ironman - then join the
fun at 'The Dash', a low-key, informal and achievable
